Overview
Partners are at the core of SVPC, sharing a commitment to become more purposefully engaged in solving problems in the Charlotte community. SVPC Partners are a group of individuals possessing a wide range of expertise and experience. Our Partners are directly involved in decision-making for grants, lending their strategic skills to nonprofits, participating in educational events, and networking and collaborating with fellow members. SVPC profiles all of its Partners to understand their skills, time availability, interests, and educational and professional backgrounds. SVPC staff uses this information to match Partners with the volunteer needs of the Investees or within the SVPC organization. SVPC currently has sixty-nine individual Partners. Partners may join as individuals or as a "partner unit" of two people (with a spouse, partner, family member or friend). Partnership requires a commitment of $5,000 a year (for a partner unit) for a minimum of two years. For those Partners under the age of 35, the annual commitment is $2,500. Contributions are tax deductible and may be made by check or stock transfer. Corporate sponsorships and matching gifts may be applied. SVPC welcomes Partners from diverse backgrounds who share a desire to pool financial contributions and personal talents to support or develop initiatives having a measurable, positive impact on the local community. For more information about becoming a SVPC Partner, please contact our Executive Director, Susan Daniel, at 704-442-7060 or sdaniel@svpcharlotte.org.
